Mouries All-Day Restaurant

Next, we invite you to discover Mouries Restaurant, our main dining venue, under the cool shade of mulberry trees. Named after these trees, Mouries offers a serene outdoor setting with views stretching to the sea and Monemvasia rock, as well as a sophisticated indoor space. This all-day dining experience epitomizes authentic Greek & Mediterranean flavors with a sophisticated twist, using the freshest seasonal produce. The fertile soil and abundant water springs around Kinsterna Hotel yield a bounty of vegetables, fruits, and aromatic herbs, which, combined with the estate’s superior quality extra virgin olive oil and olives, form the cornerstone of each meal.

Local cheeses, fresh meats from the mountain villages of Parnonas, and the catch of the day from nearby fishermen further enhance the menu, thanks to Kinsterna’s strong ties with local producers. Every dish at Mouries pays homage to the rich culinary traditions of the Laconian region, celebrating simplicity and purity. The recipes, inspired by the wisdom and love of our grandmothers, bring forth a sense of nostalgia and childhood innocence.

Linos Tavern

Presenting the third of our best restaurants in Monemvasia at Kinsterna, Linos Tavern, which embodies the essence of wholesome, hearty meals and authentically rustic atmosphere, stripped of any formalities. Linos is full of charm and invites guests to experience a unique outdoor al-fresco setting. The restaurant is named after the traditional wine press, or “lino,” which stands proudly alongside an old stone olive oil press and a stone wood-fired oven, adding to its folklore-chic charm.

Surrounded by quince trees, pomegranates, and vines, Linos offers a picturesque backdrop for a meal you will definitely remember. The experience at Linos is more than just a meal; it is the essence of soul-food. It brings you back to the most beautiful version of homemade cuisine, where delicious flavors emerge from timelessly simple recipes, all enjoyed in a charming back-garden setting that feels more like home than home itself.

Tuck into fresh salads, country bread, vegetables from the hotel’s orchards, and local meats slow-cooked in the wood-fired oven. The simplicity of the dishes, combined with the full-bodied house wine, creates an inviting atmosphere where merry conversations and laughter are the order of the day.

Having chosen Monemvasia for your Greek escape means unlocking a very special region of the map, full of history and rugged charm; perhaps one of the most picturesque spots in all the country. Staying at Kinsterna Hotel affords you the chance to get to know the destination and its traditions in the most soulful way – with experience-based holidays to Peloponnese that immerse you into the local cultural wisdom and by indulging the fruits of the land at some of the best restaurants in Monemvasia.
